Tax Policy Senior Consultant – Dubai

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Tax Policy team within the International Tax & Transaction Services practice. The role will support governments and policy makers in strengthening tax policies and advising on international tax initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on the development of tax policy, referencing best practice and international regulatory trends.
• Support tax and revenue administrations in effectively implementing tax and revenue policies.
• Assist governments with strategy and engagement on international tax initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (legal, finance, economics, public policy) to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare and present insights and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting.
• At least four years of relevant experience as a tax professional.
• Experience in a Big 4 firm is preferred; candidates from governmental or international organisations are also considered.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax rules and tax authority practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and interact with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting technical memos and policy papers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OECD BEPS framework.
• Familiarity with Pillar One and Pillar Two initiatives.
• Understanding of global minimum tax frameworks.
• Experience engaging with tax authorities, regulators and industry bodies.
