Taxation Specialist (Emiratized)

About the role

The Taxation Specialist will ensure accurate monthly VAT data collection, review, consolidation and preparation of FAB Group VAT returns. The role also supports the tax team with system enhancements, tax payments, and indirect tax data collection across international branches.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, review and consolidate monthly VAT data and prepare FAB Group VAT returns, including supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly transactional review and reconciliation for AOV submissions.
• Support the tax team on tax‑related system enhancements and IT project UATs.
• Ensure tax payments are made, journal entries recorded and reconciled in line with internal policies.
• Gather indirect tax data from international sites to identify potential issues.
• Assist the tax manager with audit data preparation and compliance submissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or a related field; professional tax qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years banking experience and at least 2 years in indirect tax (VAT/GST) compliance.
• Strong knowledge of IT and tax accounting systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
