Teacher Assistant – Early Years (KG)

About the role

The International Community Schools at Al Danah are looking for a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team for Cycle 1 (KG). You will work closely with the classroom teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3‑5.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing and organising learning materials, displays and classroom resources.
• Support daily classroom activities, ensuring the EYFS framework is implemented.
• Help manage student behaviour, fostering a safe and inclusive atmosphere.
• Maintain basic classroom technology such as interactive whiteboards and tablets.
• Document attendance and prepare simple reports using office software.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; higher qualifications in early childhood education are preferred.
• Minimum 2‑3 years experience as a Teacher or Classroom Assistant in an Early Years or Key Stage 1 setting.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Valid bus permit (as noted in the posting).

Required skills

• Proficiency with interactive whiteboards.
• Use of tablets for educational activities.
• Competency in Microsoft Word.
• Competency in Microsoft Excel.
