Teacher - Business Studies & Global Skills (GCSE/A Levels)

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting a Teacher of Business Studies and Global Skills (GCSE/A Levels) for Noya British School, its newest flagship school on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The post starts in August 2027 and suits someone who wants to join a growing family of schools and help shape the future of Abu Dhabi's leading school group.

Key responsibilities

• Work with colleagues to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements and liaise with parents and curriculum support staff
• Teach sessions for the whole ability range, motivate pupils and assess them in line with school assessments
• Take responsibility for class progress, record development in Target Tracker and use assessment data to plan and intervene
• Give feedback to parents and carers at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings
• Manage classes effectively, follow the school's behaviour policy and act as a positive role model
• Join a curriculum action group, take part in school events and run a weekly ECA each term
• Communicate with parents and carers about achievements and well-being using school systems such as CPOMS

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in GCSE/A Levels
• Previous experience working with students whose first language is not English
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities
• Clean enhanced DBS check or police clearance; offers are subject to satisfactory references and police clearance
