Teaching Assistant – Full Time

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our instructors at Cambridge High School in Abu Dhabi. The role involves assisting with tutorials, laboratories, workshops, and student field excursions, as well as contributing to the creation of teaching materials and assessment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the instructor or section coordinator in tutorials, labs, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, and field excursions.
• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars when qualified.
• Act as a student advocate and provide consultation.
• Mark and assess coursework related to the courses taught.
• Produce teaching materials for assigned students.
• Develop course material under guidance from the program coordinator.
• Perform limited administrative duties linked to taught courses.
• Serve as course coordinator when appropriate.
• Recommend curriculum changes to the committee.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in selected AD Poly committees.
• Pursue professional development opportunities.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the division head.
