Team Leader – Project HSE (Transmission Projects)

About the role

Lead and manage all project‑related HSE activities for ADNOC’s transmission projects, ensuring safe execution from assessment through commissioning. The role is the focal point for HSE performance, contractor compliance and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor project‑specific HSE plans aligned with scope, risk profile and execution strategy.
• Track HSE performance through reporting, audits and reviews, providing data for management decisions.
• Lead HSE audits, ensure timely closure of findings and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee contractor HSE compliance, manage interfaces with operations, engineering and external stakeholders.
• Conduct HSE incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implement remedial measures.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, risk and impact assessments, applying ALARP principles.
• Ensure HSE requirements are embedded in procurement specifications and vendor deliverables.
• Monitor HSE KPIs, support budget planning and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of project engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong leadership with ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Proven track record of integrating HSE requirements across the full project lifecycle.
• Experience in proactive risk identification, assessment and mitigation.
• Robust contractor HSE management and interface coordination.
• Ability to produce accurate HSE performance reports for decision‑making.
• Commitment to driving continuous improvement and a proactive HSE culture.
