Technical Assistant – Field (Event IT Support)

About the role

We are looking for skilled and motivated Technical Assistants to join our events technology team for a short‑term project in Abu Dhabi. The selected candidates will support the setup, installation, and maintenance of IT and networking infrastructure during large‑scale events.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of Wi‑Fi Access Points across event sites.
• Perform structured cabling work, including CAT6 and optic fiber installations and terminations.
• Support CCTV camera installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Assist in network setup, configuration, and monitoring (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, access points).
• Support network management and design implementation under senior engineer supervision.
• Provide on‑site technical support during events to ensure smooth operations and connectivity.
• Help with equipment inventory management, labeling, and documentation.
• Ensure all installations adhere to safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Networking, or a related technical field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in network installation, event IT setups, or similar technical roles.
• Hands‑on experience with network devices (routers, switches, APs) and CCTV systems.
• Basic understanding of network design, IP addressing, and troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to work long hours and flexible schedules during event periods.
• UAE experience and a valid UAE residency or work visa is an advantage.
