About the role
Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in the UAE and is building a team of experienced Technical Office Engineers (Piping) who will be based in the site office. The role involves providing technical support for piping construction, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating across multiple disciplines.
Key responsibilities
- Review and interpret piping drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, specifications, and other engineering documents for construction activities.
- Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, material submittals, RFIs, and Technical Queries (TQs).
- Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Procurement, and Planning teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure piping works comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, ASME, API, and other applicable international codes and standards.
- Monitor engineering revisions and ensure the latest approved drawings and documents are available at the construction site.
- Provide technical support during piping fabrication, installation, hydro‑testing, reinstatement, and pre‑commissioning activities.
- Review Material Take‑Offs (MTOs), piping material specifications, and material requirements, supporting procurement as needed.
- Coordinate with the Document Control team to maintain accurate engineering records, document revisions, and controlled copies of drawings.
- Participate in constructability reviews and propose technical solutions to improve construction efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation and review of as‑built drawings and project handover documentation.
- Attend technical coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Required profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- 10–12 years of experience in piping engineering or technical office functions within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience on ADNOC projects or similar GCC Oil & Gas facilities (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of piping construction, fabrication, installation, and testing requirements.
- Familiarity with ADNOC engineering standards, project specifications, and Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) requirements.
- Experience preparing engineering documentation and resolving construction‑related technical issues.
- Good understanding of ASME, API, ASTM, and other relevant piping codes and standards.
- Excellent coordination, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
Required skills
- Piping design interpretation (drawings, P&IDs, isometrics).
- Preparation of technical submittals, method statements, RFIs, and TQs.
- Knowledge of ADNOC standards, ASME, API, and ASTM codes.
- Material Take‑Off (MTO) review and procurement support.
