Technical Operations Engineer (Simulation Center)

About the role

Anduril Industries is building a new simulation centre in Abu Dhabi to deliver advanced wargaming and training solutions for regional defence partners. The Technical Operations Engineer will join the Air Maneuver Dominance / Advanced Capabilities team, initially working from London while the centre is constructed, then transitioning to onsite operations in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical liaison with the Emirati Ministry of Defence and EDGE, configuring and testing integrated hardware‑software solutions for immersive wargaming and AR/VR demonstrations.
• Plan, set up, and deploy equipment for multi‑day exercises, including hardware installation, software configuration, and on‑site troubleshooting.
• Own the deployment of Anduril’s AR/VR gaming engine, mission simulation software, and associated hardware at demonstrations, exercises, and wargames.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, logistics, growth, and engineering teams to refine processes and ensure seamless delivery of contract deliverables.
• Identify potential technical issues proactively and implement solutions with minimal external support.

Required profile

• Experience in customer‑facing technical roles within defence or advanced technology environments.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, field‑based settings and manage end‑to‑end deployment cycles.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capacity to coordinate across multiple internal teams.
