Technical Sales Engineer – Mechanical Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Technical Sales Engineer to develop new business opportunities across oil & gas, refineries, mining, aluminium, cement and other heavy‑industry sectors. You will act as the bridge between customers and our engineering teams, turning technical requirements into competitive quotations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential clients, EPC contractors, maintenance firms and industrial customers.
• Receive and analyse RFQs, BOQs, drawings and specifications to prepare accurate quotations.
• Coordinate with workshop, machining, fabrication, foundry and site‑maintenance teams to define methods, manpower, equipment and material needs.
• Negotiate pricing, scope, delivery schedules and payment terms within company guidelines.
• Maintain a complete sales file for each enquiry and ensure smooth hand‑over to execution teams.
• Visit customer sites to gather technical information and monitor project progress.
• Identify additional work opportunities during ongoing projects and convert them into new orders.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or junior candidate with a strong interest in mechanical engineering sales.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational abilities.
