Technical Services Engineer I – Cabin Upgrades & Reconfigurations

About the role

Emirates Engineering is seeking a Technical Services Engineer I to support cabin upgrades, reconfigurations and inflight entertainment & connectivity (IFE&C) projects. The role ensures fleet airworthiness, regulatory compliance and passenger comfort across the airline’s fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Provide fleet technical management and continuing airworthiness support for cabin interior and IFE&C systems.
• Evaluate manufacturers’ and regulatory technical documents, update internal Engineering Orders and Special Engineering Workcards.
• Analyse in‑service data (tech logs, pilot reports, defect records) and implement actions to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Deliver technical assistance during disruptions, including AOG handling, troubleshooting and resolution of chronic or deferred defects.
• Perform design activities such as SOP development, in‑house repairs, use of alternate parts and deviations under Part 21 Design Organisation privileges.
• Support new aircraft acquisition and end‑of‑lease activities.
• Act as liaison with aircraft, engine and component manufacturers and internal stakeholders to address significant faults and design issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of cabin interior systems, IFE&C equipment and aircraft regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and apply engineering change processes.
