Technical Superintendent – MCV

About the role

The Technical Superintendent will manage the technical operations of DP World’s MCV vessels based in Dubai, ensuring they are operated safely, efficiently and in full compliance with class and statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance, repairs, budgeting, survey scheduling, inspections and docking of assigned vessels.
• Maintain classification status and ensure monthly survey status reports are issued.
• Support and monitor onboard Planned Preventive Maintenance to achieve cost‑effective management.
• Manage vessel anchor handling machinery, winches, cranes and other fixed equipment.
• Supervise installation and certification of third‑party equipment such as diving gear and ROVs.
• Liaise with Vessel Masters, Chief Engineers, customers and the Purchasing department for technical and operational matters.
• Coordinate service repairs with approved subcontractors, ensuring timely completion within budget.
• Update all repair and docking information in the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
• Assist the Operations Manager and CTS Fleet in preparing dockings, surveys, budgets and plans.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of marine technical experience on commercial vessels.
• Proven track record in vessel maintenance management and technical budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of class and statutory regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with ship crew, shore teams and external suppliers.
