Technology Supplier & Cost Management Specialist

About the role

The Technology Supplier & Cost Management Specialist drives governance of technology spend, supplier performance and cost optimisation across the Digital Technology & Innovation portfolio. Working closely with Technology, Finance, Procurement and Business teams, the role ensures transparency, maximises value from investments and delivers sustainable savings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end visibility and governance of technology expenditure across software, cloud, infrastructure, telecom, managed services and professional services.
• Develop spend forecasts, financial models, dashboards and executive reports to support budgeting and decision‑making.
• Partner with Technology and Finance to build cost allocation models, business cases and commercial evaluations (TCO, ROI, NPV, IRR, payback).
• Lead contract negotiations, renewals and supplier management to optimise commercial value and service performance.
• Establish supplier governance frameworks, conduct performance reviews and identify innovation and cost‑optimisation opportunities.
• Maintain a technology savings portfolio, track realisation of financial benefits and ensure sustainability.
• Use data analytics to detect spend anomalies, supplier risks and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Legal and Business stakeholders on strategic sourcing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Technology Finance, IT Commercial Management, Vendor Management or Strategic Sourcing.
• Proven track record managing large technology spend portfolios and delivering measurable cost optimisation.
• Experience in large enterprise environments with exposure to technology procurement, software licensing, cloud and infrastructure cost management.
