Telephone Operator

About the role

Rotana Hotels is seeking a dynamic Telephone Operator to join the Front Office team at Bloom Arjaan by Rotana, Abu Dhabi. You will be the first point of contact for guests calling the hotel, delivering professional and courteous service that enhances their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Answer guest calls promptly, using the guest’s name in line with Rotana standards.
• Maintain effective communication with all departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests and complaints politely, aiming to exceed expectations.
• Manage long‑distance call vouchers and record them on the traffic sheet.
• Maintain the wake‑up call sheet and deliver calls accurately and on time.
• Operate the switchboard efficiently, transferring internal and external calls quickly.
• Take and relay messages for guests and management according to standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Previous experience in a front‑office or telephone operator role, preferably in a hotel.
• Strong customer‑focused attitude, proactive and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a multicultural team.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Experience with the Opera property management system.
