Trackwork Construction Manager – High-Speed Rail (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are supporting a major high-speed railway infrastructure project in the United Arab Emirates and need an experienced Trackwork Construction Manager to lead the delivery of track construction across approximately 150 km of alignment. The role oversees both ballasted and slab track systems, ensuring safe, efficient execution in line with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all trackwork construction activities across the high-speed rail alignment.
• Lead construction of ballasted track and slab track systems, including installation, alignment, levelling, tamping and welding.
• Plan and schedule works to meet project milestones and critical-path requirements.
• Directly supervise around 20 site supervisors, section managers, trackwork engineers and technical staff.
• Allocate manpower, plant and equipment, and set daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
• Monitor productivity, progress and quality, ensuring compliance with Method Statements, ITPs, drawings and technical specifications.
• Ensure HSE compliance, conduct risk assessments and enforce safe working practices.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to guarantee that all trackwork meets high-speed railway standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in railway trackwork construction, preferably on high-speed rail projects.
• Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Strong production and work-front management capabilities.
• Excellent knowledge of ballasted and slab track systems and associated installation techniques.
• Solid understanding of HSE regulations and quality assurance processes.
