Trading Contracts Manager – Energy Trading

About the role

ADNOC Trading Limited is looking for an ambitious Trading Contracts Manager to join its Legal, Compliance & Contracts team in Abu Dhabi. The role will act as the central point of contact for all contractual matters related to trading activities, ensuring that agreements are accurate, compliant and aligned with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and approve sales and purchase confirmations, amendments and counters, ensuring consistency with system entries.
• Verify that all agreements comply with ADNOC policies, including compliance language, jurisdiction, confidentiality and sovereign immunity.
• Report any deviations or breaches to General Counsel and Head of Trading.
• Support the Front Office and other functions in resolving contractual disputes and negotiating complex agreements such as term deals, tenders, storage agreements and master/side letters.
• Review third‑party terms, negotiate amendments to minimise exposure and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain the clause database as gatekeeper for contract templates and clauses.
• Keep accurate records of all confirmations and contracts in line with ADNOC policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal studies or a related field (Master’s or professional qualification is a plus).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in trading, operations or legal functions of a trading company.
• At least 4 years of dedicated contracts‑management experience, preferably in energy trading.
