Trading Operations Manager - Gold

About the role

Our client, a Dubai‑based gold trading firm backed by a leading UAE group, is looking for a Trading Operations Manager to own the end‑to‑end operations function. Reporting to the CFO and working directly with senior leadership, you will bridge physical gold trading and a fast‑growing digital platform.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily trade operations, including execution, settlement, logistics, and documentation.
• Manage relationships with refineries, logistics providers, customs authorities, and counterparties.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management throughout the trade lifecycle, maintaining audit‑ready records.
• Develop and implement operational processes that support platform functionality and scale.
• Monitor platform performance and collaborate with technology, marketing, and sales teams to enhance user experience and revenue.
• Analyse market trends and provide data‑driven insights for strategic decisions.
• Control budgets, resources, and timelines across the operations function.
• Build and lead an expanding operations team as the business grows.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years of operations experience in gold, bullion, or commodity trading.
• Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle, logistics, and international compliance standards.
• Experience working with customs authorities, logistics vendors, and refineries.
• Familiarity with LBMA standards and precious‑metals benchmarks is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a lean, fast‑paced environment with full ownership.
• Exposure to digital platforms, fintech, or e‑commerce operations is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field; MBA preferred.
• Fluent English; Arabic or Hindi a plus.
