Trainee Air Traffic Controller (UAE Nationals Only)

About the role

You will join Dubai Air Navigation Services as a trainee to become a qualified Air Traffic Control Officer. The programme provides comprehensive training, familiarisation, and assessment to prepare you for a career in air traffic management.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in theoretical and practical ATC training modules.
• Complete all required examinations and assessments successfully.
• Develop proficiency in air traffic control procedures and safety standards.
• Collaborate with instructors and senior controllers during on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• Age between 19 and 27 at the start of training.
• UAE national holding a valid family book (Khalasat Al Qaid).
• Minimum high school certificate with English, Mathematics and preferably Physics.
• Strong command of English (IELTS ≥ 5.5 or EmSAT‑English ≥ 1250).
• Medical fitness to pass a GCAA Level 3 medical examination.
• Male candidates must have completed national service and provide a military exemption letter.

Required skills

• Proficiency in English language (written, comprehension and oral).
• Basic knowledge of mathematics and physics concepts.
