Transportation Operations Manager

About the role

The Transport Operations Manager will lead the transport unit, executing strategic plans that support overall business growth and ensuring seamless delivery across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Support the head of department in managing the entire company fleet, including contract renewals, negotiations and improving asset utilization, safety and order fulfillment.
• Ensure all scheduling requirements are met and adjust operations to handle seasonal fluctuations.
• Develop and establish operating policies that meet world‑class industry and client standards while ensuring compliance with SOPs, health and safety regulations and legislative requirements.
• Lead the operational team responsible for delivering end‑to‑end transport solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence through people, processes, tools, information and governance, monitoring performance against plans and budgets.
• Identify top talent, contribute to recruitment and foster training, coaching and mentoring to maximise employee potential.

Required profile

• Relevant degree (CPD preferred).
• Minimum 8 years experience in a transportation company, managing fleets of over 500 vehicles.
• Background in large‑city public transport or international multidrop delivery operations.
