Turbine Engineer

About the role

The Turbine Engineer will lead mechanical corrective and preventive maintenance for gas and steam turbines, valves, gearboxes and related rotating equipment at our Abu Dhabi plant. You will coordinate internal teams and external contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer mechanical corrective maintenance (CM) work orders, troubleshoot and repair turbine and auxiliary equipment.
• Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) activities, witness inspections and testing, and ensure contractor compliance with procedures.
• Manage contract quality, productivity, and commercial terms; attend weekly contract review meetings.
• Raise plant equipment modification requests and maintain accurate equipment records.
• Control parts inventory, generate material requests in MAXIMO, and inspect deliveries.
• Monitor outage schedules, service reports, and ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards.
• Prepare and manage the annual mechanical maintenance budget.
• Deliver training, safety tours, and HSE observations to promote a high‑safety culture.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in turbine or rotating equipment maintenance within a power‑generation environment.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, contract management and ISO/QHSE standards.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and external contractors.
