UAE Country Manager

About the role

This is a career‑defining opportunity to lead Airwallex’s Middle East business. As the most senior Airwallex leader on the ground, you will own the full commercial, operational and cultural agenda for the region, building and executing the country strategy, growing the team and delivering sustainable, cash‑flow‑positive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SME and enterprise commercial teams to achieve revenue, customer acquisition and product adoption KPIs.
• Own the end‑to‑end go‑to‑market strategy and customer experience for the Middle East.
• Define and drive the long‑term commercial vision, identifying high‑growth segments and verticals.
• Partner with Legal, Risk & Compliance to secure licensing and regulatory approvals.
• Hold full P&L responsibility, managing contribution margin and steering the region toward cash‑flow‑positive performance.
• Optimize the regional marketing budget in line with global priorities.
• Design commercial team incentive structures within the globally approved framework.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in a high‑growth, B2B fintech or payments environment.
• Founder‑like energy with a track record of building and scaling teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to make data‑driven decisions quickly.
• Excellent judgment, curiosity and a bias for action.
• Collaborative, humble and capable of turning zero‑to‑one ideas into tangible products.
• Comfort with using AI tools to enhance productivity and problem‑solving.
