UAE Logistics Lead

About the role

Unilever is seeking a Logistics Lead for its operations in the United Arab Emirates. The role will oversee end‑to‑end logistics, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound flows, on‑time delivery and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, order preparation, shipment planning and dispatch in line with customer requirements.
• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics processes to achieve on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) delivery performance.
• Monitor and optimise truck utilisation and coordinate a dedicated fleet to meet volume demands.
• Ensure third‑party logistics (3PL) providers meet lead‑time, quality and cost targets through regular performance reviews.
• Prepare accurate metrics, reports and process documentation for senior management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on fleet and manpower planning to drive operational efficiency.
• Analyse logistical challenges and propose solutions to support business development.
• Supervise reverse logistics, guaranteeing credit notes are issued within 24 hours.
• Lead and mentor the logistics team, fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Maintain warehouse accuracy with weekly stock reconciliation (99.9 % accuracy) and manage quarterly physical counts.
• Drive health and safety initiatives and lead the safety agenda for the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing logistics or supply‑chain operations, preferably in a large consumer‑goods environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a diverse team.
• Analytical mindset capable of interpreting data and driving cost‑effective improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
