UAV Pilot

About the role

AL TARIQ is looking for a qualified UAV Pilot to support its unmanned aerial system (UAS) operations in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will conduct both ground and flight activities, ensuring fleet serviceability, validating system performance, and contributing to national and international missions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform non‑operational ground and flight tasks such as ground testing, flight testing, simulator training, and equipment testing to maintain fleet readiness.
• Execute internal and external UAS flight operations in line with approved procedures, supporting ADASI commitments and participating in deployments, exercises, and customer demonstrations.
• Maintain operational currency by completing required flight hours, simulator sessions, recurrent training, and competency assessments.
• Support miscellaneous operations including static displays, flight demonstrations, customer evaluations, and special assignments.
• Progress toward Pilot in Command (PIC) qualification requirements to enable career development and broader deployment opportunities.
• Update and maintain the Operations Equipment Status System, providing accurate equipment availability and readiness reports.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of SOPs, operating procedures, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with pilots, maintenance personnel, engineers, mission planners, air traffic services, and other stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient mission execution.

Required profile

• Valid UAV pilot licence or equivalent certification.
• Demonstrated flight experience with UAS platforms and simulator training.
• Ability to complete required flight hours and recurrent training to maintain operational currency.
• Strong understanding of civil and military aviation regulations and safety standards.
