Vertical Transportation Engineer

About the role

Azizi Developments is seeking an experienced Vertical Transportation Engineer to join its Studio 360 team in Dubai. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will lead the design, development, and review of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways across a range of residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review vertical transportation designs, drawings, and technical submittals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to create efficient VT solutions.
• Prepare drawings, schedules, reports, and specifications.
• Work with manufacturers to optimise VT system performance.
• Review external consultants' designs and provide technical recommendations.
• Produce code‑compliance statements, feasibility studies, and design‑stage reports.
• Assist Studio Management in resolving RFIs from construction sites.
• Evaluate and recommend VT vendors, including site visits when required.
• Inspect VT installations and testing on‑site as needed.
• Provide technical advice on VT operational methods for diverse project requirements.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in vertical transportation engineering and design.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai local authority regulations, design requirements, and construction processes.
• Proven ability to balance engineering priorities across multiple sectors.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and time‑management skills.
