Veterinary Technician

About the role

Miral Experiences is seeking a Veterinary Technician to provide comprehensive veterinary care for the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi animal collection, which includes mammals, fish, reptiles, birds and invertebrates. The role supports both routine health management and the regional marine life rescue and rehabilitation program, ensuring high animal welfare standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with veterinary treatments and procedures for a diverse collection of marine and terrestrial species.
• Restrain animals for procedures and coordinate medical, husbandry and behavioural schedules as directed.
• Administer injections and oral medications in line with hospital policy.
• Observe animal behaviour and health, reporting findings to the veterinarian and management.
• Support emergency veterinary cases and maintain clean medical areas, kennels and surgical rooms.
• Perform inventories of pharmaceutical and medical supplies and update tracking systems.
• Participate in the care and rehabilitation of rescued marine wildlife.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of experience in a veterinary or animal‑care setting.
• Possession or ability to obtain a UAE veterinary nursing technician licence/certification.
• Veterinary Nursing Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Basic mathematical skills for accurate dosage calculations.
