Vibration Engineer Turbomachinery

About the role

As a Vibration Engineer Turbomachinery you will assess the dynamic behaviour and vibration performance of turbine‑generator systems in power‑generation facilities. You will diagnose complex vibration issues and implement corrective actions to ensure safe, reliable operation of critical rotating equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead vibration diagnostics and troubleshooting for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and associated rotating equipment.
• Perform advanced vibration analysis using FFT, time‑waveform, orbit and spectral techniques.
• Support commissioning, startup and acceptance testing by evaluating vibration performance against standards.
• Conduct continuous condition monitoring, trend analysis and predictive diagnostics.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and engineering recommendations for customers and site teams.
• Execute onsite and remote vibration measurements with specialized diagnostic tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in vibration analysis, condition monitoring and troubleshooting of rotating equipment in power generation or heavy‑industrial environments.
• Proven expertise with turbine‑generator vibration diagnostics and rotor balancing.
• Hands‑on experience with gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, compressors and pumps.
• Ability to interpret vibration data and produce clear technical documentation.
