About the role
The Vice President – Legal leads the legal function for NMC Healthcare, one of the UAE's largest private healthcare networks. Reporting to the CEO and supporting the Board, this senior executive ensures the organization complies with UAE laws and healthcare regulations while managing legal risk.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall legal strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Provide expert legal counsel to the Board, CEO and executive team on contracts, litigation, regulatory matters and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee all legal affairs, including contract negotiations, corporate structuring, healthcare compliance, intellectual property, labour law and litigation.
- Develop, implement and maintain legal policies, frameworks and procedures to promote risk management and corporate compliance.
- Represent the organization in complex matters with regulators, government bodies, external counsel and business partners.
- Lead legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships.
