Warehouse Assistant – Machine Shop

About the role

The Warehouse Assistant supports the Machine Shop by handling the receipt, storage, and documentation of raw materials, tooling, and finished components. You will ensure inventory accuracy and timely material flow to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming raw materials, tooling, consumables, and machined parts against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Process goods receipts and close purchase orders in the JDE system while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Issue materials and tooling to the Machine Shop and monitor stock levels to prevent production interruptions.
• Assist the Quality Control team with documentation for inspections, certifications, and invoicing.
• Create and maintain daily warehouse activity logs and inventory transaction records.
• Coordinate with Machine Shop, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse following 5S, company, and HSE standards.
• Perform regular stock counts and support inventory reconciliation activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory operations, preferably in a manufacturing or machine‑shop environment.
• Basic understanding of machine‑shop materials, tooling, and production workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably JDE.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of inventory management processes.
