Water Fountain Designer

About the role

Studio 360, a multidisciplinary design studio serving Azizi Developments, is looking for an experienced Water Fountain Designer to conceive, design and develop water fountains and water feature systems for landscape, hospitality, commercial, mixed-use and public realm projects. The role works closely with landscape architects, architects, MEP and structural engineers, lighting designers and specialist contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop water fountain concepts that fit the landscape masterplan and architectural vision.
• Prepare conceptual designs, sketches, 3D visualizations and presentation materials.
• Produce detailed technical drawings: layouts, sections, equipment layouts, piping and hydraulic schematics.
• Design and coordinate circulation systems, pumps, filtration, nozzles and control systems.
• Integrate lighting, interactive features and programmable fountain systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams through design, technical coordination and construction.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, equipment selections and material specs; assist with technical specifications, design reports and BOQs.
• Support construction with site inspections, design clarifications and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, international standards and sustainable water management guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• 8-10 years of proven experience in water fountain and water feature design and delivery.
• Experience on large-scale projects, preferably in hospitality, mixed-use, commercial and public realm settings in the Middle East.
• Knowledge of international standards and UAE local authority requirements for water features.

Required skills

• Hydraulic design, pump sizing, filtration and nozzle selection, and programmable fountain control.
• AutoCAD, Revit and 3D tools such as SketchUp, Rhino and Lumion.
• Syncronorm (Depence) and DMX lighting control/programming for interactive fountain shows.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and strong attention to detail.
