Water Quality Engineer

About the role

As a Water Quality Engineer you will ensure smooth and efficient operation of the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi facilities within the Zoological Department. You will be responsible for water quality and Animal Life Support Systems (ALSS) tasks that directly affect the health and safety of animals, staff, contractors, guests and overall park operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and other maintenance services on ALSS equipment in accordance with SOPs and manuals.
• Ensure all life‑support systems operate within environmental regulations and permit conditions, maintaining water quality for mammals, fish, and humans.
• Analyze data from control systems, meters and laboratory results to troubleshoot water‑quality, flow or system issues.
• Apply safe handling, storage and disposal practices for toxic substances and hazardous waste.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and report status to the ALSS leadership team.
• Keep chemical drums, storage areas and workstations clean and organized.
• Manage inventory of tools, parts, materials and equipment.
• Work safely in vaults, confined spaces and other restricted areas, following proper safety techniques.
• Complete required trainings and maintain professional competencies.
• Adapt to shifting schedules, including night shifts and public holidays, and handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 45 kg and prolonged standing.

Required profile

• Physical ability to work in confined spaces, lift up to 45 kg and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights and public holidays.
• Commitment to follow safety procedures and complete mandatory trainings.
