Welding Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Welding Engineer to support site construction activities in the Oil & Gas sector. The role focuses on welding engineering, quality assurance and compliance, ensuring that all welding work meets project specifications and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
• Ensure all welding activities comply with project specifications, international standards and client requirements.
• Provide technical support to site teams on welding‑related matters.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, welding quality control and NDT activities.
• Monitor welder qualifications, certifications and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Identify welding issues, propose corrective actions and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification – mandatory.
• 5–8 years of welding engineering experience in EPC or construction projects, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong site experience with piping, tanks or structural welding works.
• Familiarity with major clients such as ADNOC and experience in the GCC region is an advantage.
