Welfare Officer

About the role

The Welfare Officer promotes employee well-being, ensures compliance with labor welfare requirements and supports employees on accommodation, transportation, health and general welfare matters. The role acts as a key link between employees and management to keep the workplace positive and productive.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for employee welfare matters.
• Maintain accommodation facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety and compliance with company standards.
• Inspect labor camps, accommodations and welfare facilities regularly.
• Coordinate employee transportation and assist with medical appointments, health insurance and emergencies.
• Support new employee onboarding, including accommodation and welfare arrangements.
• Handle employee grievances and escalate them to HR or management when needed.
• Promote well-being through welfare initiatives, engagement activities and awareness programs.
• Work with site teams, supervisors and service providers to resolve welfare issues.
• Keep records of welfare cases, inspections and corrective actions, and prepare periodic welfare reports.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labor regulations and company welfare policies, and support HR and Administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Work or a related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in employee welfare, HR, administration or labor accommodation management.
• Knowledge of UAE labor laws and employee welfare practices.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic, Hindi or Urdu is an advantage.

• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
