Western‑Qualified Consultant Interventional Radiologist

About the role

A leading private healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a Western‑qualified Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join its specialist radiology team. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality image‑guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a comprehensive range of image‑guided interventional radiology procedures within approved clinical privileges.
• Assess patients, review imaging, develop treatment plans and obtain informed consent.
• Provide pre‑procedure counselling, post‑procedure follow‑up and manage complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists and other specialists in multidisciplinary care.
• Maintain accurate clinical and procedural documentation.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, audit and CME/CPD activities.
• Support the development and expansion of the Interventional Radiology service.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Recognised Western specialist qualification in Radiology/Interventional Radiology.
• Consultant‑level experience in a reputable hospital or tertiary‑care centre.
• Current professional registration/licence in the country of practice.
• Eligibility for UAE Consultant licensing (DHA/DOH/MOHAP).
• Excellent communication, clinical judgement and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, evidence‑based practice and continuous professional development.
