X-Ray Aide – General Radiology

About the role

The X‑Ray Aide provides essential administrative and patient‑support services within the General Radiology department. The role ensures smooth workflow, maintains equipment and supplies, and assists with patient preparation and appointment coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Maintains stock of consumable items.
• Assists with procedures such as biopsies.
• Ensures the working environment is clean and hygienic.
• Prepares patients for treatment, including lifting patients.
• Checks equipment and reports faults.
• Inputs data into the system.
• Acts as chaperone to female patients for male technicians.
• Assists with appointments as required.
• Contacts patients to confirm appointments.
• Performs shift work, including night duty.
• Maintains internal schedules.
• Coordinates administrative support.
• Undertakes follow‑up actions for meeting coordination.
• Modifies and maintains departmental databases as assigned.
• Prepares worksheets and charts as directed.
• Complies with regulations related to mentoring, training, and development of UAE national staff.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in any field.
• Demonstrated relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
