Architect II – Facilities Planning & Design

About the role

We are seeking an Architect II to lead the planning, design and oversight of new building projects, extensions, alterations and renovations for AL TAIF Technical Services LLC. The role will support long-range facilities planning and ensure all work aligns with our ISO-based quality, health-safety and environmental management systems.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and supervise construction of new facilities, extensions and renovation works.
• Develop and review project planning documents, ensuring consistency with program scope and ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Manage facilities planning and programming for all AL TAIF programs, including sustainable development and energy-efficiency considerations.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors, monitor their performance against contractual and technical requirements, and support contract schedule preparation.
• Assist internal teams in defining project requirements, preparing scopes of work, selecting architects/engineers and approving study deliverables.
• Conduct conceptual studies, preliminary designs and alternative analyses for building systems and components.
• Participate in design reviews, defend project requirements and provide expert advice to senior management.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information and support the Facilities Department in daily operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering architectural or engineering services during project planning phases.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Ability to assess technical soundness of construction proposals and manage sustainable facility design.
• Excellent analytical skills for reviewing master-plan implementation and project performance.
