Business Development Executive (Waste Management)

About the role
We are looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to join our commercial team in Sharjah. The role focuses on acquiring industrial waste generators, securing hazardous waste volumes, and converting opportunities into long‑term service contracts within the waste management and environmental services sector.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and target industrial companies across the UAE that generate hazardous waste (sludge, oil waste, chemicals, etc.).
- Develop new business opportunities in Oil & Gas, Marine, Manufacturing and Heavy Industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EHS managers, plant heads, operations teams, marine clients, agents and port authorities.
- Generate leads through direct outreach, networking events, referrals and collaboration with the marketing department.
- Conduct site visits, client meetings and technical discussions to understand requirements.
- Prepare tailored business proposals, negotiate contracts and pricing, and close deals.
- Maintain and grow existing client relationships to ensure retention and repeat business.
- Monitor market trends and client feedback to keep service offerings relevant and competitive.
- Perform additional duties as required by business needs.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Environmental Sciences or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in waste management, environmental services or related industries.
- Strong industry connections and a proven track record of acquiring hazardous waste volumes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
