Civil Construction Supervisor

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Civil Construction Supervisor to lead on‑site activities across mechanical, piping, painting, insulation, refractory and fire‑proofing disciplines. The role ensures safe, high‑quality execution of civil works while supporting the company’s transition to alternative energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and field personnel across multiple disciplines.
• Conduct toolbox talks and promote site safety, addressing hazards immediately.
• Monitor progress, prepare daily reports and manpower forecasts.
• Implement construction processes, project procedures and QinC initiatives to achieve “right first time” outcomes.
• Alert the Construction Manager or Superintendent of any non‑compliant work.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, review BOQ, responsibility matrices and resolve execution issues.
• Verify material handling, preservation and issue to subcontractors.
• Coach and mentor less‑experienced staff and provide feedback via Construction Observation Forms.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising civil construction sites, including earthworks, excavation, concrete, steel and road works.
• Strong knowledge of survey equipment and underground activities.
• Ability to lead safety meetings, HSE walks and toolbox talks.
• Experience preparing progress reports and managing subcontractor relationships.
• Capability to train subcontractors on quality‑control inspections and “build right first time” practices.
