Consultant Pediatric Rehabilitation Physician (American Board)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Pediatric Rehabilitation Physician to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services to children with physical, developmental, neurological, and functional conditions, working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical, cognitive and developmental assessments for pediatric patients.
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation treatment plans.
• Oversee and coordinate physical, occupational and speech therapy services.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting plans as needed.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, nurses and other specialists to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and long‑term care strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical records in line with DOH standards.
• Stay current with advances in pediatric rehabilitation medicine.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• American Board Certification in Pediatric Rehabilitation (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of consultant‑level experience in pediatric rehabilitation.
• Strong clinical expertise in pediatric rehabilitation therapies and patient management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
