Data Scientist – Business Analytics

About the role

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join Spotify’s Business Analytics team in Dubai. You will work closely with the Regional Analytics Lead to shape growth strategies across the Asia‑Pacific region, collaborating with analysts, engineers, marketers and business leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop data‑driven strategies to grow Spotify users and subscribers.
• Identify new growth levers in the SAMEA region and run experiments to validate them.
• Create and communicate impactful recommendations, models and insights to improve product offerings and channel optimization.
• Build scalable data pipelines and dashboards for business performance tracking.
• Partner with business stakeholders to uncover opportunities and measure the impact of initiatives.
• Design and implement comprehensive tests, ensuring proper metric tracking and continuous learning.
• Present findings to senior collaborators and influence business decisions.

Required profile

• At least 2 + years of professional experience extracting insights from data using Python, R or SQL.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud data platforms such as BigQuery or GCP (a plus).
• Familiarity with AI tools, including large language models and coding assistants (a plus).
• Strong curiosity, creativity and diligence, with a business‑oriented mindset.
• Proven ability to collaborate with partners, measure impact of marketing or product initiatives and deliver clear recommendations.
• Educational background in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field.
• Comfortable working in a globally distributed team and willing to travel internationally when required.
• Experience in a consumer‑tech or product‑focused company is a plus.
