Director of Requirements & Capabilities

About the role

Raytheon is seeking a senior leader to head its Requirements & Capabilities function for its wholly‑owned subsidiary in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Vice President of Requirements & Capabilities and working closely with the Managing Director, the director will shape the country strategy, drive growth, and ensure strong customer partnerships across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a competitive‑advantage strategy based on deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and buying power.
• Lead a team of Customer Account Managers to nurture existing relationships and create new pipeline opportunities.
• Identify key markets and launch initiatives that support Raytheon’s international business development.
• Engage with industry and government committees, councils, and studies to represent Raytheon’s interests.
• Provide regular market insights, opportunity status, and coordination of pursuits to RTX stakeholders.
• Ensure integrated, cross‑functional approaches to in‑country pursuits and pipeline reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading customer‑focused teams within aerospace or defense environments.
• Strong track record of developing and executing country‑level business strategies.
• Ability to work matrix‑style across senior leadership and external partners.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
