Electrical Inspector

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team on a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing electrical works, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and approved drawings, and supporting the commissioning of major systems.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect contractor’s electrical works and verify compliance with specifications.
• Review and comment on technical submittals, method statements, inspection requests and as‑built drawings.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections of works in progress.
• Witness commissioning of major electrical systems and support field testing.
• Coordinate electrical services with other disciplines and report non‑conformances.
• Monitor contractor progress, generate weekly and monthly discipline reports, and maintain tracking schedules.
• Assist the Resident Engineer with contract obligations and internal project management deliverables.
• Report safety violations to HSE personnel during site inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in construction supervision of building services.
• Strong knowledge of British, American and International design standards.
• Ability to manage MEP packages independently, including QA submittals and testing & commissioning requirements.
