Fragrance Development Manager

About the role

Sozio, an international fragrance house, is expanding its Dubai affiliate and seeks a talented Fragrance Evaluator to lead fragrance projects for regional and international customers across the Middle East. The role bridges market trends, customer expectations, and creative perfumery to deliver winning fragrance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate fragrance submissions and guide perfumers toward project objectives.
• Define olfactive directions, benchmarks, and briefs for creation teams.
• Select and refine fragrances based on technical, commercial, and emotional criteria.
• Ensure developments align with regional market trends and customer positioning.
• Adapt and optimise fragrances for various applications and present collections to customers.
• Build strong customer relationships through proactive support and market insight.
• Monitor Middle Eastern fragrance trends, analyse competitor launches, and contribute to internal trend presentations.
• Collaborate with perfumers, application labs, marketing, and sales teams from briefing to final approval.
• Support the regional commercial strategy with olfactive expertise.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Fragrance Evaluator in a fragrance house or related industry.
• Deep knowledge of Middle Eastern olfactive preferences and market dynamics.
• Experience in Fine Fragrance and/or Consumer Products is highly valued.
• Excellent olfactive sensitivity and fragrance culture.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to translate marketing concepts into olfactive creations.
• Commercial awareness, customer‑oriented mindset, and organized, proactive work style.
• Team player with an entrepreneurial attitude.
