Freelance Procurement Manager – Temporary Support (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Procurement Manager to provide temporary support at our Dubai office in Dubai Investment Park. The role covers two short‑term periods (approximately 3‑4 weeks each) and focuses on sourcing and managing audio‑visual equipment for projects.

Key responsibilities

• Procure and rent audio‑visual equipment such as projectors, sound and lighting systems, and media network gear.
• Act as the primary procurement contact for project teams, aligning with budgets, schedules and strategies.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies, including cost‑competitive sourcing and project‑specific pricing.
• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, availability and delivery time.
• Negotiate terms, prices and contracts, place orders and track deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance, qualify new suppliers and manage related risks.
• Execute material inspections, quality assessments and coordinate logistics for packing, shipment and transport.
• Identify cost‑reduction and optimisation opportunities and apply industry best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience procuring audio‑visual equipment in a mid‑sized international service company in the UAE.
• Own valid UAE residence visa and medical insurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, engineering or relevant certifications.
• Strong organisational, multitasking and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement software and tools.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
