About the role

GEMS World Academy Dubai is seeking a passionate French teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from August 2026. The role involves delivering French language instruction to secondary students within an IB framework, fostering a love of learning in a culturally diverse, non‑selective environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging French lessons for MYP and DP students.
• Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
• Provide personal support and mentorship to students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the IB Learner Profile values.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education or a degree plus a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE) with a French specialism.
• Minimum three years of experience teaching secondary French.
• Familiarity with the IB MYP and DP frameworks is preferred.
• Commitment to continuous professional improvement and to the ethos of an IB World School.
