Head of Communications – Middle East, Turkey & North Africa

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Managing Director and Group Marketing & Customer Communications Director, the Head of Communications will lead all communications across the METNA region (Middle East, Turkey and North Africa). Based in Abu Dhabi, the role involves extensive travel and the delivery of integrated strategic communications to support business‑winning campaigns, strengthen brand positioning and protect the company’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic brand positioning in priority markets through integrated communications aligned with campaigns, corporate objectives and visual identity.
• Deliver multi‑channel activities including exhibitions, advertising, digital, social media and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Protect and strengthen regional reputation via proactive messaging, stakeholder engagement and targeted media initiatives.
• Represent communications at senior level, support crisis management and advise business leaders on campaign delivery and messaging.
• Collaborate with regional business units and sector teams to provide campaign support, stakeholder mapping and communications expertise.
• Manage agencies, budgets, governance, reporting and spokesperson readiness, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Deliver employee engagement strategy, promote regional initiatives and share impactful stories across the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong communications expertise across brand management, messaging and market priorities.
• Proven experience delivering integrated, multi‑channel campaigns in a complex, multinational environment.
• Ability to work autonomously as a self‑starter and to the highest standards.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement skills and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Experience in crisis communications and reputation management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external agencies and budgets.
