Humanities Teacher – Yas American Academy

About the role

Aldar Academies is seeking a passionate Humanities Teacher to join Yas American Academy on Yas Island for the academic year 2025/26. You will deliver the Massachusetts Common Core Curriculum alongside Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that cater to the full ability range of the class.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and other assessment tools.
• Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum support staff and external specialists such as speech therapists.
• Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere with clear expectations and effective behaviour management.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student achievement.

Required profile

• Understanding of the Massachusetts Common Core Curriculum and local curriculum requirements.
• Ability to create engaging, imaginative lessons that motivate pupils.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to the school’s values and to building positive relationships within the school community.
