IT Test Engineer – ATM Switches (Base24eps) and Cards (Debit, Credit, Pre-paid)

About the role

The client, a leading banking organization in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced IT Test Engineer to validate ATM switch and card processing solutions. The role focuses on testing Base24eps switches, ISO message flows, and Visa/MasterCard interfaces across debit, credit and prepaid card products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for testing activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and external partners to resolve issues and implement fixes.
• Lead hardening, patching, upgrade and scheduled maintenance activities with internal teams.
• Troubleshoot critical production incidents and communicate impacts to management.
• Provide support to project teams, including user acceptance testing (UAT) for new releases.

Required profile

• Strong experience with ATM switches (Base24eps) and ISO 8583 message structures.
• In‑depth knowledge of Visa and MasterCard interfaces and card lifecycle (debit, credit, prepaid).
• Understanding of issuing, acquiring, switching, transaction routing, merchant management, and ATM/POS/kiosk environments.
• Familiarity with ATM hardware (NCR, Diebold) and protocols (NDC, IFX, ATM Web Interface).
• Experience with cash deposit machines, cash recyclers, HSMs (Thales, Safenet) and key management.
• Knowledge of EMV, 3DSecure/SecureCode, PCI DSS and payment gateway specifications.
