About the role
AbbVie is seeking a Key Account Manager who is an Emirati national to lead strategic engagement with UAE healthcare payers and providers. The role focuses on delivering market insights, identifying unmet needs, and shaping account strategies that drive access and performance across AbbVie’s portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of business opportunities, decision‑making processes and complexities within key accounts.
- Communicate payer decision drivers and unmet needs to brand teams, supporting comprehensive analysis.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to anticipate future trends.
- Establish strategic partnerships with payers, identify access barriers and align objectives.
- Negotiate, finalize and improve contracting and tender outcomes for better product access.
- Create tailored engagement plans, set clear objectives and monitor performance.
- Deliver presentations and business reviews to internal stakeholders.
- Build detailed account plans with risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops and training sessions for account stakeholders.
- Track market trends, policies and regulations affecting healthcare access and reimbursement.
Required profile
- Emirati national (family by book).
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
- Proven success as a sales professional or Key Account Manager in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Ability to translate strategic direction into actionable engagement plans.
- Strong leadership and cross‑functional coordination skills.
- Advanced negotiation, contract finalization and complex customer network management experience.
- Excellent analytical, business planning and financial capabilities.
