L1 Security Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a proactive L1 Security Analyst to join our client’s security operations team in Dubai on a one‑year contract, with the possibility of extension. The role focuses on day‑to‑day security monitoring, incident triage and ensuring smooth operation of security processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform triage of security alerts and fulfill Business‑as‑Usual (BAU) tasks.
• Handle tickets, conduct basic troubleshooting and implement standard changes.
• Monitor logs, generate reports and maintain documentation.
• Monitor shared mailboxes and ensure timely response to security queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in L1 IT security operations.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CheckPoint, Palo Alto or Web Application Firewall (WAF) certifications.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IT security operations practices.
• Hands‑on experience with security platforms like CheckPoint, Palo Alto Networks and WAF solutions.
• Ability to work with log monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
