Laboratory Technician – FRAC

About the role

The Laboratory Technician – FRAC is responsible for performing analytical testing on process streams, sampling, and handling HSE‑related samples. The role ensures data accuracy and supports research studies by following internationally accepted standard methods.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests according to established methods.
• Collect plant samples using standard sampling procedures and record results in the Laboratory Information System (LIMS) and Business Objects reporting software.
• Prepare and standardize chemical reagents for daily laboratory work and on‑line analyzers.
• Report instrument faults and apparatus damage to the shift supervisor.
• Monitor sampling schedules to guarantee reliable results and equipment performance.
• Perform trial runs on newly installed or repaired laboratory equipment to verify accuracy.
• Maintain inventory records for chemicals, calibration materials, gases, spares, and consumables.
• Implement and comply with all relevant policies, HSE procedures, and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in emergency response, housekeeping, and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Ability to follow internationally accepted standard methods for quality assurance.
• Experience in laboratory analysis and sample handling.
• Familiarity with HSE policies and emergency response duties.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Laboratory Information System (LIMS).
• Use of Business Objects reporting software.
• Preparation of chemical reagents and calibration of reference materials and gases.
• Operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and analyzers.
• Implementation of standard sampling procedures.
